Ellie Buckley, Shea Volkmer, Makena Weberski, Caroline McCool, Daisy Penney, Quinn Guthrie and Sloan Pullen all placed in the top 50 of the girls varsity large school race at the 39th Rough Rider Invitational at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif., to lead Division 3 Campolindo to a 46-60 victory over Division 1 Dougherty Valley. Buckley, Volkmer, Weberski, McCool and Penney all placed in the top 25 and ran under 20 minutes for Campolindo, which won its second straight large school title at Rough Rider, despite returning only Buckley, Guthrie and McCool from the lineup that competed at the 2019 event.
